Perforated plastic sheets are widely used in both home and industry. Perforated plastic sheet product can be used for a wide variety of applications, from ventilation screens to eye-covers for mascots.
There are seven types of plastic: Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Polypropylene (PP), Polystyrene (PS) and Misc. Polypropylene is the most common grade we see in perforating however we have also worked with ABS and PVC.
There are two ways to make perforated plastic sheets, perforating and drilling. Perforating is to use punching tools to punch many holes once in plastic sheets,it is economic way to make holes in plastic sheets, but there is a basic requirement for perforating, that is the hole diameter has to be more than the thickness of the plastic sheets, otherwise, the plastic sheet after being perforated will be curved. Drilling holes in plastic sheets is high cost with low efficiency, but we can get any holes with different diameters even the hole diameter is much smaller than the thickness of the plastic sheet. For example,to drill 4.5mm holes in 10mm thickness plastic sheet.
